fly fishing on river Idrijca

The Idrijca river is managed by two fishing clubs, the fishing club Tolmin and the fishing club Idrija. Their district border is in the village Stopnik. The Idrijca river has a typical greenish colour. The river terrain is running through deep pools, thickly wooded banks, swift rapids. The river is home to all fish species especially to endemic Marble trout. Marble trout is named for its distinctive marbled pattern which is mostly revealed on the gill covers and the large head, which can be as much as a quarter of the whole body length. The Marble trout size and timidity makes it a prized fish for sport fishermen as every catch is a great success. Fly fishing at the Idrijca river enables you to be in close contact with intact nature, spend your free time in a healthy way and relax.
